It is a Ryan Hutchins film. Now when i say that i mean that it is an extremely poignant story. The movie starts with a guy narrating a poem to a full-house about this girl whom he met and has been in love since age 9.
It shows the desperation to express yet he often repeats what stops him from burping the words-- " ...but i am shy and i don't know why".
That goes on and he covers a whole lifetime of desolation, where his shyness leads him to lose his love. However, at the age of 69 when he hears of her death and goes to her funeral, her husband gives him a diary.
What he reads there and how that story unfolds that is where lies the art of the director.
What adds a flavor to the whole story is the way the whole story has been narrated.
She has been my best friend ever since we were nine
I stared her face and her hair, wishing she was mine
She didn’t like me like that and that’s fine
Because I was with her all the time
She’d ask for class notes from the day b4
Then kiss my cheek but I wanted something more
I was trying to tell her straight 4m my core
But I was JUST too SHY
And I DON”T KNOW WHY!!
