PORNSTAR INSPIRATIONS - Part 1 ( Victoria Zdork)

Aristotle once said : We are what we do. Excellence therefore is not an act but a habit.

Meet this lady from the modern world who is not only one of the most searched and fantasized personalities in google but also one of the most underestimated females taken for granted with a menial skin show.

Meet Victoria Zdrok- the famous porn star who was selected as the Penthouse- Pet of the Month in 2002 and Penthouse- Pet of the year for 2004.

In an industry, booming with bodacious beauties geed up with silicone and decked up fashion, where survival is a struggle in itself, this woman climbed rungs to appear in the famed magazine.

For people who don't know what penthouse magazine is all about - it is what Forbes is to business or Rolling Stone is to metal bands. Featuring in Penthouse is more difficult than an average Stardust magazine. It not only calls for demanding and demeaning scenes but also oodles of charm and confidence.

Now, you must be thinking why is our team hell-bent on hailing a porn actress. What is more to her than the flesh and blood that the others have?

The fact that we often take the porn stars to be beauty with no brains has always occurred very strange to me. Is it psychological or perhaps just our understanding of the profession. We know that no sane girl in her worst fit of craze can opt for a  profession that not only abuses her body but also rips her soul. She is reduced to nothing more than those Japanese sex-dolls who are roughed up and fed on drugs and alcohol. What remains of their life after that is of little importance. Who cares what happens to the horse after the race is won, right?

So we bring you this absolute diva who not only defied the norms and conventions that govern this job but also proved it is not just her bosom that is the most glorious part of her body. She has a BRAIN TOO.

Victoria Zdork - holds a J.D Degree  from Villanova University School of Law and a Ph.D in clinical Psychology from Drexel University. She later qualified a post-doctoral certification in sex therapy from New Jersey School of medicine. She is the author of 'Anatomy of Pleasure' and is the monthly advice columnist for the penthouse magazine. She is an  active consultant and she also hosts a radio show.

Wow ! That's like 3 life worth activity infused into one.

Now it is up to the idle brains whether they cull her as just another sexy, porn chic or take the cue and learn to do something worthwhile with their lives.

Do you know what Anupam Kher did to Prabhadevi (Sridevi's sister) ?

Anupam Kher, the veteran actor who has proved his mettle of acting with amazing movies like A Wednesday, Special 26, Saaransh and Daddy recently came into light when the twitteratis got to know about Sridevi's sister PrabhaDevi.

Who could have thought the master comedian and living maestro could actually do such a thing and that too at the age of 55 ?
But, like every other thing this piece also dried and withered away.
Take a good look at this picture. Isn't she beautiful? She could have been another Madhuri Dixit or Karishma Kapoor, but what you are about to read is going to make you come back to this pic...

Let me remind you guys that Anupam Kher is married to the talented actor Kiron Kher. Love is apparent between them but where does the man bury his lust ?

LOL

It was the first of the few gags put up by the ace actor along with Makeup artist Mickey Contractor and photographer Gautam Rajadhyaksha. This gig was more hit than most of the movies at that time.

If you observe closely Prabhadevi is none other than the actor himself !!

And we thought the man is a comedian just in movies.

Cheers !

RIP RITUPARNA GHOSH ( Awards, Laurels , Sex change , controversy )

It was such a shocker when we heard about the news of Rituporno Ghosh that for a second we just sat there with open mouths like someone had stuffed a roll of tissue under it. Then came the small stream out of Mrina's eyes. She has been working really hard to put up this article that why RituParna Ghosh deserved a show at the Oscars with his emotion churning movies and then suddenly she gets to know that the man is dead.
For a person llike Mrina and many others who want to make movies that not only brushes the theaters and multiples screens but also touches the heart of millions.

Perhaps, we were expecting Ritu da to bring an Oscar. Very often his work was compared with Satyajit Ray- Yes, that was his skill.

The man won 12 National awards:

Many people believe that Rituparno Ghosh underwent a sex change. The man was known to appear in female outfits in public and his hand gestures corroborated the fact even more. That said and done it was quite obvious that the man didn't care much about the Bhadrolok Bengali community and their bickerings. The man was bold enough to face the world and follow his heart.

He lived for just 49 years. Just imagine, had he not lived the life he wanted, not undergone that change of sex (not sex change) then he would have died an unhappy person.

Not just the Bengali community but this entire generation who wanted to see a change and be the change whether on the screen or off it, have now lost their last lear !!
May his soul rest in peace. Amen !!

R.I.P Rituparno Ghosh

The acclaimed film maker Rituparno Ghosh who has churned out Bollywood biggies like Raincoat and The last Lear and has 12 national awards to his credit passed away just a few minutes ago, from a massive heart attack. He was of the tender age of 49.

Ostentatiously dressed and effimanate gestures had made the director a symbol of ridcule, but for people who understood art and filmamking, this man was the living Satyajit Ray. He will always be remembered by the Bengali film making community for his utmost contribution to the world of cinema.

May his sould rest in peace. Amen !

Star Bestsellers-"Ek Shaam Ki Mulakaat"- Irfan Khan, Tisca Chopra, Himani Shivpuri, Raghuvir Yadav, TIGMANSHU DHULIA

Star Bestsellers is an Indian television series that was originally telecast on Star Plus in 1999-2000. Each episode in the series is a separate story written and directed by young and upcoming writer-directors and it carried the special intensity for a different feeling but all about proper human condition and indicating that each person has something great at heart (love, affection etc.).
Writers and directors who worked in creating the episodes of the series include Anurag Kashyap, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Imtiaz Ali, Sriram Raghavan and Hansal Mehta

This story is inspired by a gujrati story  and is a satire to the way we typecast women and their actions. It takes a man just seconds to demean a woman  but when it comes to reality it is certainly stranger than fiction.

The story is left hanging with a big Q as the large, insanely emotional eyes of Irrfan Khan tells the disbelief and reflects the anguish and pain of being jilted.

Directed and screenplay by the highly acclaimed Actor (Ramadheer Singh- Gangs of Wasseypur 1,2), director ( Pan Singh Tomar...) and theater artist Tigmanshu Dhulia  this film stars actors who have now accomplished a name for themselves internationally :-
Irrfan Khan

Tisca Chopra

Himani Shivpuri

Raghuvir Yadav

It is the Playmate and lead actor for the much awaited movie Kamasutra3D - Sherlyn Chopra

Now that's an unexpected transformation... Whatsay ?

Salt n Pepper (Short film featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui from his struggling days)

Another Short film from the struggling days of the internationally acclaimed actor 'Nawazzudin Siddiqui'.
The guy appears for just 7minutes but his screen presence including the exit are all noteworthy.
Tejaswani Kolhapuri did not really sulk but her character was quite cliched and extremely childish.

The film shows the diversified interests and problems that the rich and poor face in this country.
While the girl who has everything possible attempts to commit suicide for a guy who jilted her, the guy tells about the fate that his brother met when the government revised policies for farmers and how that affected the poor farmers.

This movie also portrays the feelings and disappointment of the farmers and their families.

The most touching part is the last dialogue where Nawazzudin Siddiqui says that: Love is for the rich because they have nothing else to worry about.
